A I don’t know, in my case I prefer the inescapable truth. The lie, although pious, is always a lie. I think you are taking me into a philosophical terrain that I refuse to enter because I am not a philosopher at all.
R Bergman when he wrote this play, versioning the film, did it for his wife. It is known that he told her ‘I’m going to modify some things because this drama cannot be endured by the spectator in the theater’.
R I read Eduardo Saccheri’s novel a long time ago and I liked it. Then I met Eduardo, we exchanged opinions and it happened. As you will see, it has nothing to do with the current situation of the country. It is about the 2001 crisis.

Darín (Buenos Aires, 1957) presented today, together with Andrea Pietra, the new installment of the play written by Ingmar Bergman -premiered in 1973 as a series and later as a film and play- which he has been performing since 2014.
They will begin their tour on September 18 at the Teatros del Canal in Madrid, where they will be with the play “for the third time”; it will continue -from 25 to 29- at the Olympia Theater in Valencia; it will return to Madrid -from October 2 to 20-; it will premiere at the Palacio de Congresos in Zaragoza -October 24 to 26- and at the Auditorium in Palma de Mallorca -November 1 to 3-.
This work, he assured, “is in movement, it is alive. Every day it has a new meaning and that makes each performance especially attractive for me, because I don’t know what I’m going to get out of it. I recommend that you see this piece just to see what she does”.
“It is an extensive and intense text”, Darín said at a press conference, and revealed that when Aleandro told him about the play he warned him that he would be amazed that “on many occasions people would laugh at tragic moments, because it is a kind of catharsis”.

ricardo darín confesses his fears before his play ‘escenas de

Darín (Buenos Aires, 1957) will begin his new tour with Ingmar Bergman’s play on September 18 at the Teatros del Canal in Madrid; it will continue -from 25 to 29- at the Olympia Theater in Valencia; he will return to Madrid -October 2 to 20-; it will then open at the Palacio de Congresos in Zaragoza -October 24 to 26- and at the Auditorium in Palma de Mallorca -November 1 to 3-.
He laughs at the long life of the work but, he half apologizes again, “the reception has been and is so good, selling out everywhere…. That not only excites, it enables the possibility of repeating and being in other places”.
The text, directed by Norma Aleandro, is a theatrical version signed by Bergman himself of the film he shot in 1973 and, contrary to what happens in the film, the play shows the couple throughout their lives with comedy dynamics.
He always had the feeling that when Bergman rewrote this play to put it on stage he was considering a theater workshop exercise, “that’s why he proposes that the actors list the scenes with irony before getting into them. That is what allows the actors to get in and out of that game”.
