We had not decided where to go this Saturday, because the circumstances and events of recent weeks have kept us very busy and I have not had time to prepare a «cool» route so aimlessly, we take the bikes and the destination does not lead to stop at the Castle of Can Feu. Coincidentally we have coincided in day and time with a visit to the castle and therefore we could enter to see it. From here and following all the bike lanes that crossed the road, we have been going up to Terrassa by the area of Can Bonvilar.
Castell de Can Feu – This manor house was started to be built in 1816, on the foundations of the old Sobarber farmhouse, of which there is news from 1055. In the large garden there is a chapel dedicated to the Virgin of Montserrat, built in 1704. The farmhouse was renovated at the end of the 19th century. The historian Andreu Castells explains in his book «El arte sabadellense» that the construction of Can Feu castle is due to a bet made by three cousins to see who would build the most attractive castle. Josep Nicolau de Olzina built the Can Feu castle. It is a rectangular-shaped manor house, flanked by three turrets and a five-story master tower, with windows that mimic the Gothic style and loopholes. In March 2007, the Sabadell City Council reached an agreement with the owners of the castle and the adjacent land to transfer it to the municipality. An immediate rehabilitation is planned, and the construction of a park around it.

It is worth remembering that the entrance to SAM ROCK FEST was totally free, thanks to the subsidy received by Sabadell Acció Musical and the support of four private companies. If we leave aside the poor lighting, the sound problems, and the shortage of toilets (there were only two), the festival can only be described as successful. Our most sincere congratulations to the organization and to all those who have collaborated, in one way or another, for the success of SAM ROCK FEST. We hope to see you in future editions.
