The aim of this initiative is to offer travelers maximum confidence when traveling and thus recover their mobility habits in rail transport, a key aspect in this phase of de-escalation of the confinement to successfully face the return to normality.
This includes processes such as check-in and access to trains, passenger distribution, cleaning and disinfection of train interiors, as well as passenger and employee protection measures, among others. During the train trip, the use of face masks is mandatory for all passengers.
As from June 22nd, the Gold Card can be used on Saturdays with a 40% discount, whereas up to now it was 25%, a discount that will be extended to Mondays. In this way, one of the days of the week with the highest demand is incorporated to the best discount.
During the health crisis, Renfe has returned a total of 38.6 million euros to its customers for the almost one million tickets cancelled during the State of Alarm, for travel on Ave, Larga Distancia, Avant, Media Distancia and Avlo trains.
Trains depart from the Sevillian stations of Santa Justa and San Bernardo -located a few minutes from the center of the capital of Seville- and arrive at the station of Cadiz, from where you can walk to the historic center of the Tacita de Plata.
On average, the trip between the two stations takes approximately 1h 45min, and usually stops at the following stations: Sevilla-San Bernardo, Dos Hermanas, Utrera, Las Cabezas de San Juan, Lebrija, Jerez Airport, Jerez de la Frontera, Puerto de Santa María and San Fernando-Bahía Sur. In addition, at certain times it also stops at the stations of Virgen del Rocío, Las Aletas, Apeadero de Puerto Real, Estadio and Segunda Aguada.
The trip was pleasant and enjoyable. The seats, arranged in a 2+2 configuration (two rows of seats with two seats per row), are fabric, reclining, and have individual folding tables and plugs for charging electronic devices.
